HIGHLIGHTS
Condor is a German charter airline which has a rich history in German aviation. By offering flight to various leisure destinations in the Caribbean, Europe and the U.S, this airline has not only become well-known, but it has come a trusted airline with an outstanding reputation among leisure travelers.
In this video presentation, we will follow the flight crew on a roundtrip flight from Frankfurt to Funchal. Funchal, Portugal is a well-known destination among aviation enthusiasts due to its unique and challenging approach procedure. Making this flight especially noteworthy, is the fact that we will also be flying onboard the 757-300 which is stretched version of the common 757-200.
For our flight to Funchal, some of the highlights that you will enjoy include departure briefings, a review of our route information and a detailed presentation on approach preparations which nicely highlights the challenge of landing at Funchal. In addition to the amazing views from the cockpit of our approach and landing, I also appreciated the views from the ground which nicely captured our aircraft, in addition to other aircraft as they landed and departed.
With the Funchal airport being notorious for its spectacular approaches, it comes as no surprise that after our landing, there was a very nice segment that includes a bit of video spotting of aircraft landing and departing. For anyone who loves aviation, this segment will indeed be a highlight of this video.
For the return flight to Frankfurt, there were a few noteworthy moments that I found quite enjoyable. For example, while enroute to Frankfurt, there were two segments which focused on the systems of the 757 and a brief overview of the fleet history of Condor. These segments were quite informative and it highlights the rich history of the company and why it depends on the 757 and the 767 as a significant part of its operations. Ultimately, this video presentation was quite insightful and there were many exciting moments that will appeal to every aviation enthusiasts. If you would like to learn more about the 757-300 or learn more about the operations of Condor, this video is certainly a welcome addition to your collection of Just Planes videos.
