Following the release of the Milviz PC6 Turbo-Porter for Prepar3D v4, Milviz heard the requests from the flight sim community to bring this highly acclaimed STOL bushplane to the FSX platform.
In the intervening weeks, the team has worked diligently to squeeze as much of the 64bit good stuff into a package that looks great and performs flawlessly on the FSX Steam Edition Platform.
It is essentially the same as the 64 bit cousin, but with no PBR, lower resolution textures, and without TrueGlass. It retains all the other features, including the custom engine and systems programming. (It could be installed in FSX + Acceleration, however it is not supported owing to incompatibilities with the included Milviz/Rex WXR.)
Milviz paid particular attention to the flight dynamics with a heavy focus on creating an aircraft that is realistic not only in the visual department, but also in the way it handles. The PC-6 Porter is a powerful and capable utility aircraft and Milviz wanted to capture an authentic feel to the controls. Hundreds of hours of testing and expert refinement have resulted in a rewarding, yet ultimately enjoyable, flight experience that successfully mimics all aspects of the real world model, up to and including in-flight reverse pitch 'beta' mode.
Aside from all the technicalities, this is a truly fun aircraft to fly!
