Just Flight's superbly detailed Hawk T1/A Advanced Trainer, developed in partnership with Thranda Design, features PBR materials with real-time environment reflections, 4096 x 4096 textures for the highest possible texture clarity and 12 paint schemes which include the RAF and Red Arrows.

VATSIM Previews New Audio Codec

VATSIM have revealed an all-new voice system is currently undergoing beta testing.

The new system brings a complete ultra-low latency, crisp, clear VHF simulation to VATSIM. Features include realistic range and static effects based on line-of-sight calculations, as well as realistic 'blocking' when two or more stations transmit simultaneously based on their proximity to receiving stations.

The new codec will work with all currently available pilot and ATC clients and is currently undergoing closed beta testing.

The Vertx DA62 Coming soon to Prepar3D v4

Vertx Flight , a new flight sim aircraft developer will soon be releasing their first product, the Diamond DA62 for Prepar3D v4.

The Vertx DA62 G1000 PFD has been created using 3D gauge modelling techniques to deliver a PFD with unmatched clarity and animation smoothness.

The G1000 flight planner allows creation, saving and loading of flight plans, as well as compatibility with the built-in P3D flight planner. All of the G1000 autopilot modes have been realistically modelled, including enroute vertical navigation, LPV approaches with glideslope, pitch hold, enroute turn anticipation, course-wheel-steering, plus much more. Accurate Direct-to and OBS mode have been simulated.

The exterior and interior feature crystal clear 4K textures with night lighting and dimmable panel back-lighting.

An advanced flight model includes features such as a custom-coded stall and spin routine, custom-coded single engine flight modelling with realistic VMC behaviour, as well as advanced engine and electrical system modelling.

The virtual cockpit uses a wholly custom-coded sound engine providing many improvements over the standard P3D sound engine. Features include more realistic stereo panning and separation, high propeller angle-of-attack sound effects, and the pitch (or frequency) of the sounds are accurately tied to RPM rather than manifold pressure as is usually the case with piston powered aircraft in P3D. Also included are sounds for all switches and levers, G1000 annunciations, doors plus much more.

High framerates have been made a priority and so far our beta testers are reporting good results in that regard.

iFly and Flight One Software are proud to announce that the iFly 737NG High Definition Texture Pack for P3Dv4 has been released. The free HD Texture Pack for Prepar3d version 4 includes texture improvements and additions to the P3Dv4 version of their award-winning iFly 737NG. Here are the new features included in the package:

HD textures applied to VC.
HD textures applied to exterior of the aircraft
Ground Power Unit modeled (aircraft battery will charge when ground power is connected).
FWD OVHD panel font now models real world.
Option to Enable or Disable High Resolution Displays using the Configuration Tool.
Proper operation of the SPEEDBRAKE ARMED light and other minor fixes.
High definition Texture Paint-kit released.

The iFly Jets: The 737NG is a super sophisticated and complete 737NG addon for Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D. High accuracy simulation of the cockpit and systems, along with features such as ground support and push back, make this a premier expansion for P3D. The product has been tested by real NG pilots to help maintain the accuracy required for this simulation.

This product offers quite an extensive fleet covering the NG range. This includes the 737NG 600, 700, 700ER, 800, and 900, 900ER, plus the BBJ, BBJ2, and BBJ3. There are several variations among this fleet that you can customize via the configuration manager, including jet engine types, and wingtips.

Finally, a tool that everyone can make use of. KsimSaver is a freeware tool that saves your ongoing flight scenario in a specified time interval.

KsimSaver eliminates the need to purchase alternative payware add-ons that have more functionality than you actually need if you’re just looking to save your flights in the case of an unexpected simulator crash.

It’s super simple to get going, configure three settings, launch your sim and hit the ‘Start Saving’ button.

KsimSaver is still a beta application and the team are looking for feedback and bug reports. You can submit any bug reports on their website .

It is compatible with FSX/SE and all existing Prepar3D versions and requires .NET Framework 4.7 to be installed. You can download it here .
