HIGHLIGHTS

This is yet another intriguing video from Just Planes and Edelweiss. As an avid aviation enthusiast, this video was very enlightening as to the duties of a long haul pilot and it also provided an in-depth look at what it takes to fly the A330. As the crew carry out all of their duties, they continuously engage with the viewers each step of the way. This was especially helpful in gaining a better understanding of oceanic crossing procedures, CPDLC operations, ETOPS and other fascinating details that some may not be aware of.

For those who enjoy a bit more of the technical side of aviation, the external walkaround and cockpit presentation may be the main highlight of this video. I’ve always enjoyed learning about the systems of various aircraft and this video surely aims to please in this guard. The cockpit presentation on the A330 was detailed, easy to understand and it reinforces the fact that the airbus cockpit design is truly made to be a pilot friendly aircraft with innovations that are far ahead of the competition.

For those who enjoy the scenic aspect of these videos you will be quite pleased with the stunning views from the cockpit while flying in and out of Zurich and Las Vegas. In addition to the views seen on approach and takeoff, there were also a few interesting moments captured enroute which featured various airports and locations of interest. Just Planes has always done an outstanding job in capturing the experience of flight and I think this video will be a lovely addition to the collection of anyone who is an aviation enthusiast and a fan of the A330. While finding airlines that allow these types of video programs can be a challenge, we are certainly thankful that Edelwiess has granted us access to an experience that will inspire the next generation of aviators and aviation enthusiast.

HIGHLIGHTS

This video was an insightful look into the events that takes place shortly before an airline takes delivery of a new aircraft. In this case, we will be part of the action as Egyptair takes delivery of a brand new 787-9. To the benefit of the viewers, this program starts off with a tour of the museum of flight and then the Boeing customer experience center. During this segment, it was very enlightening to learn about the origins of the 787 and to benefit from a presentation of the 787 and 747-8 full scale mockup which showcases some of the innovative designs found within these aircraft. Other points of interest prior to our flight to Cairo included a visit to the Customer Solution Studio and the final assembly line. After all of these intriguing presentations, we join the flight crew as the complete their final checks of the brand new 787 before embarking on the longest biofuel flight on record.

After our departure from KPAE some of the highlights of our one way flight included presentations by the pilots on their career history and some of the innovations that make the 787-9 a unique, passenger friendly aircraft. Presentations on the aircraft also included some of the features within the cabin and the innovations that seem to make the life of a flight attendant much easier.

As our flight comes to an end, the viewers will enjoy an array of amazing views from the cockpit which includes some of the pyramids and the cityscape of Cairo. Although this video was shorter than most Just Planes programs, I found that it was both unique and insightful in capturing some of the moments aviation enthusiast rarely ever have the opportunity to experience. With the aid of numerous cameras and editing, this program is sure to provide hours of intrigue to anyone who is an aviation enthusiast at heart.

HIGHLIGHTS

Flybondi is a new airline based in Argentina that is also the first airline from this country to be added to the long list of airlines filmed by Just Planes. This video focuses on the operations of this airline from the El Palomar Airport in Buenos Aires to Puerto Iguazu and San Carlos de Bariloche onboard their 737-800. Each flight featured numerous highlights that viewers of all kinds may enjoy. For example, on our first roundtrip flight to Puerto Iguazu, the captain discusses her career history which includes the challenges of balancing a career and family life, hand-flying older models of the 737, working for Qatar Airways and more! After viewing this segment, I am confident that many females who are considering a career in aviation will find it very motivational. 

Another highlight of this video focuses on the 737 itself. Throughout this video there were many opportunity to observe the pilots in action as they prepare the cockpit for departure and landing. For anyone who is an avid fan of the 737NG, this video will be very insightful.

As a final highlight, flying throughout Argentina offered the opportunity to showcase the stunning scenery throughout this country. At various points throughout this video, Just Planes was able to capture some of the most amazing views from the cockpit of the 737 both during the day and during the night. It was quite obvious that with this video, Just Planes has offered a much better perspective of being in the cockpit environment of an aircraft and I am hopeful that this style of video editing continues. Flybondi surely seems like an interesting airline and I hope that we see more of their operations in the future. Until then, I would highly recommend this video to any aviation enthusiast.

It features a tradeshow floor with hardware and software developers from around the world and seminar rooms with how-to information and tips from experts. Many attendees will be experiencing flight simulation for the first time; others have years of experience. Normally, about half of the attendees are also certificated pilots.

This is the third annual FlightSimExpo. After launching in Las Vegas in 2018, the conference welcomed almost 1,650 attendees to Orlando last summer. The conference’s host hotel, Tropicana Las Vegas – a DoubleTree by Hilton, is centrally located on the Strip and offers an award-winning pool, spa, fitness center, and much more.
