FLIGHTSIMEXPO 2021 SCHEDULE ATTENDEE REGISTRATION
FlightSimExpo 2021 will be held on June 4-6, 2021 in San Diego and online. Attendees can view the initial event schedule and register for the in-person or online experiences at www.flightsimexpo.com.
SAN DIEGO – February 11, 2021 – FlightSimExpo has announced its 2021 event schedule will feature presentations from airline pilots, dispatchers, accident investigators, air traffic controllers, flight simulation developers, content creators, and an F-35 test pilot! Complete with two panel discussions, the three-day schedule of seminars will be available for attendees in-person in San Diego and livestreamed for registered online attendees.
FlightSimExpo has also opened attendee registration for both in-person and online attendees. In-person attendees can register for $70, which includes access to all Saturday and Sunday seminars as well as the exhibit hall on June 5 and 6. As in previous years, Captains’ Corner—an add-on educational seminar series held on Friday, June 4—is available for $10 as an add-on for in-person attendees. In-person attendees also receive complete online event access, including seminar recordings post-event.
Knowing that some attendees may prefer to participate remotely, FlightSimExpo is offering an online-only registration this year. For $15, the online-only registration includes three-day seminar livestream access and the ability to view product videos, discounts, and exhibitor ‘video booths’ in the virtual exhibit hall.
Given the uncertainty caused by ongoing global pandemic, FlightSimExpo will be polling registered attendees, developers, and the broader community next month regarding the final format of the event. Event sponsors and exhibitors will be announced following those discussions, and credit cards will not be charged until later this year.
By pre-registering now, attendees help provide organizers with valuable planning information. “When we can approach sponsors and exhibitors with attendee registration numbers, we can have a much more productive conversation and deliver a conference that is most aligned with the community’s wishes,” says conference co-founder Evan Reiter. To offer full transparency to attendees, in the lead-up to the event, the FlightSimExpo website will be updated weekly with attendee registration numbers and a list of developers who plan to attend in-person.
The in-person component of FlightSimExpo 2021 will be held at the iconic Town and Country Resort in San Diego. Booking through FlightSimExpo, attendees receive a discounted overnight rate and special perks. As in past years, the conference has arranged travel discounts with Delta, Enterprise, Southwest, and WestJet.
For more information on this year’s event, organizers welcome the community to join Moosestaffa’s Twitch stream this Saturday at 12pm PT (2000 GMT). Evan will join Mike to discuss FlightSimExpo 2021, developer feelings about the conference, and how the online component will work. “If you have questions or thoughts around how we can organize this year’s show, join us on stream this Saturday,” said Evan.

HIGHLIGHTS
Air Antilles is a new airline to the Just Planes video series and it is certainly an addition that I am excited to review.
In this video series, we will be flying onboard the ATR72-600, ATR42-500, DHC6-300 and the DHC6-400. With such a wide array of aircraft featured in this series, it immediately catches your attention. Additionally, this program features unique destinations such as Martinique, St. Lucia, Barbados, Grand Case and St. Barth.
Some of the highlights that stood out in this program were the flights onboard the ATR72-600 which not only gave a detailed look at this new aircraft, but it also featured stunning scenic moments while flying to Grand Case. Additionally, flights onboard the ATR42-500 were also a special treat in that it featured some of the more challenging landings at the island of Dominica and St.Lucia. While it was quite impressive to see the performance of this aircraft on full display, it was also impressive to observe the workflow and professionalism of the crew as they made these difficult landings and takeoffs seem like a walk in the park.
The final highlight of this program is perhaps one of the best moments ever captured by Just Planes. While I was quite delighted to experience a flight onboard the brand new DHC6-400, this experience was further enhanced by a unique landing at St.Barth on runway 28! Adding to the thrill of the moment, numerous camera angles gave a perspective that few may ever experience and if you are a fan of the Twin Otter, you will find these flights to be quite intriguing.
In conclusion, this 5 hour long video is perfect for any aviation enthusiast or anyone who is a fan of turbo props. If you enjoy videos such as these which showcase unique destinations, the list of destinations featured in this program are among the most scenic and challenging available. Air Antilles may be a small airline, but this video will certainly leave a large impression!

HIGHLIGHTS
Air Belgium is a relatively new airlines which started its operations in 2018 with a fleet of Airbus A340-300 aircraft. This presentation features a series of flights onboard the A340 from Belgium to Martinique and Guadeloupe in the Caribbean. Starting off with a meeting with the cabin crew, the Captain provides valuable information on the flight details which covered possible delays due to de-icing and the possibility of bad weather enroute. Once completed, we join the pilots in the cockpit of the A340 as they make their last minute preparations before departure.
After departing Charleroi and climbing about the layer of overcast clouds above Belgium, our flight continues onward to Martinique and Guadeloupe where there were many noteworthy highlights. For example, I really enjoyed the segments that featured the Captain’s comments on the advantages of the A340 and why he prefers this aircraft to Boeing aircraft. Other segments featured a detailed look at the systems of the aircraft and how they are used and set for this particular flight. Finally, the segments I also thought were a significant highlight featured the landing in Martinique and Guadeloupe which nicely showcased the natural beauty of the Caribbean.
After making our final stop in Guadeloupe with a 4 day layover, there was a short but enticing ad which featured the beauty of the islands which is sure to attract viewers to these destinations. For our return trip to Belgium, after departing in the late evening from Guadeloupe, our nearly 8 hour flight featured a few intriguing moments which focused on the ATC communication required for crossing the Atlantic, discussions on Equal Time Point (ETP) and a continuation of a presentation on the systems of the aircraft which was quite extensive and insightful.
The final highlight came during our early morning landing at Charleroi where the view was quite different to our departure some days earlier. During our approach, the weather was mostly clear and it allowed for an amazing view of Belgium before making a smooth and uneventful landing. Ultimately, this video presentation has quickly become one of my top 10 favorites from Just Planes and I especially appreciated the friendly and professional demeanor of the entire flight crew. If you are a fan of the A340 or any airbus aircraft in general, this is certainly a video worth adding to your collection since the A340 is sadly being phased out from many airlines. In the future, I certainly hope that we see more flights featuring Air Belgium and more flights featuring destinations in the Caribbean region!

HIGHLIGHTS
Condor is a German charter airline which has a rich history in German aviation. By offering flight to various leisure destinations in the Caribbean, Europe and the U.S, this airline has not only become well-known, but it has come a trusted airline with an outstanding reputation among leisure travelers.
In this video presentation, we will follow the flight crew on a roundtrip flight from Frankfurt to Funchal. Funchal, Portugal is a well-known destination among aviation enthusiasts due to its unique and challenging approach procedure. Making this flight especially noteworthy, is the fact that we will also be flying onboard the 757-300 which is stretched version of the common 757-200.
For our flight to Funchal, some of the highlights that you will enjoy include departure briefings, a review of our route information and a detailed presentation on approach preparations which nicely highlights the challenge of landing at Funchal. In addition to the amazing views from the cockpit of our approach and landing, I also appreciated the views from the ground which nicely captured our aircraft, in addition to other aircraft as they landed and departed.
With the Funchal airport being notorious for its spectacular approaches, it comes as no surprise that after our landing, there was a very nice segment that includes a bit of video spotting of aircraft landing and departing. For anyone who loves aviation, this segment will indeed be a highlight of this video.
For the return flight to Frankfurt, there were a few noteworthy moments that I found quite enjoyable. For example, while enroute to Frankfurt, there were two segments which focused on the systems of the 757 and a brief overview of the fleet history of Condor. These segments were quite informative and it highlights the rich history of the company and why it depends on the 757 and the 767 as a significant part of its operations. Ultimately, this video presentation was quite insightful and there were many exciting moments that will appeal to every aviation enthusiasts. If you would like to learn more about the 757-300 or learn more about the operations of Condor, this video is certainly a welcome addition to your collection of Just Planes videos.

HIGHLIGHTS
Helvetic Airways is a Swiss regional airline that operates flights on the behalf of Swiss International with their fleet of E190s and the newest E190-E2 aircraft.
In this video presentation, we will be following the flight crew as they take us to destinations such as Munich, and Warsaw onboard the E190-E2. The E190-E2 is the newest offering from Embraer and this presentation offers the perfect opportunity to learn about this aircraft.
Throughout this video there were many opportunities for the viewers to fully appreciate the new features of the E190-E2 and the operations of Helvetic Airways.
For examples, some of the points that stood out about the airline itself was the warm and friendly demeanor of the fight crew as they conducted briefings and presentations. As the crew carried out their duties, it was quite evident that professionalism was a high priority for the company and this shines through quite nicely through this presentation.
As the true star of the show, the presentations on the newest features of the E190-E2 were quite impressive and enlightening when compared to the first generation E190. Throughout this video the pilots took the opportunity to highlight some of these differences in greater detail while on the ground and in the air. Embraer has certainly done an outstanding job with this aircraft and this video nicely showcases the performance of this aircraft in a variety of flying conditions. If you are interested in learning more about this aircraft and the operations of Helvetic Airways, I can highly recommend this video.

As we transition to our featured flight, we begin at the Dubai International airport where our flight will be operating on the behalf of Royal Air Brunei. With the Captain in the right seat being the pilot flying on this flight, we begin with a departure briefing which outlines all of the procedures and precautions that will be taken to ensure a safe takeoff. Once airborne, there were many memorable moments which included communication procedures while flying through the airspace of various countries, a basic review of the benefits and differences of the A330NEO vs the previous version and a presentation on the interesting career history of both Captains. During the approach, the briefing was quite extensive given that there were factors such as weather and NOTAMS to consider. Also noticeable during this briefing is the high level of professionalism and humility shown by both pilots in an effort to ensure the highest safety standards.
Despite having to navigating around a few thunderstorms in the area, the landing in Brunei was uneventful. For the return flight to Dubai, some of the most noteworthy highlights included a presentation on the cockpit of the A330NEO and a detailed discussion on the differences between the A330NEO and the previous version which I am sure will peak the interest of many viewers. Overall, I thought that this video presentation offered the best insights on the A330NEO and it was pleasure learning about the aircraft from the professional and capable pilots of HIFLY. If you would like to learn more about the A330NEO or learn more about the unique operations of HIFLY, this video is certainly worth it.
